JENNY MAC - Artist

BIO

My attraction to abstract impressionism was born when attending classes with retired artist Leon Baron here on the North Coast 18 years ago.  I had already studied in ceramics at Lismore Tafe under the tuition of John Stewart.

Workshops with Michael John Taylor, Mandy Nolan, Karma Phuntsok.

Classes with Lorraine Abernathy.

I have a diploma in Fine Art from Murwillumbah Tafe.

I gravitated to political art, working in this genre for over 10 years.

In 2020 I crossed over from the easel to the sewing machine and created designs from secondhand clothing.  Developing my label "ENIGMA UPCYCLED CLOTHING; and ran a successful market stall until the pull to return to the easel was too great to ignore.

My abstracts are, to me, as escape into colour relationship, form, mark making and design.

I regularly exhibit in 'The Little Gallery' in Uki.

Hope you enjoy these works as much as I have creating them.
